About the event

Telling Your Story: Why Recording Family History Matters
Join us for two special events that will inspire and equip you to preserve your family histories in sound and video.

Event 1: The Talk – Why Recording Matters
Be inspired to start recording your family’s history. Discover the power of hearing and seeing stories told in the voices of those who lived them, and why now is the time to start.

Wednesday, 20 August - 6.30 pm at Cambridge Library

Event 2: The Workshop – How to Do It

A practical session that will walk you through every step: planning, asking great questions, a guide to the tools, and keeping stories safe. Leave with your own project plan and the confidence to get started.

Saturday, 23 August - 10.30 am at Cambridge Library

Registration is essential for the workshop via the Waipā District Libraries website. https://www.waipalibraries.org.nz/events?category=4
