Artist bios…
John Biddulph – For nearly 50 years, John has been shaping sound, blending electronic textures with acoustic instruments, drawing on his background as a jazz saxophonist and orchestral clarinettist. Alongside his solo work, John is part of a free improvisation trio called Se, comprising piano, Persian setar, and bass clarinet. His music has found home in film, theatre, and radiophonic broadcasts. He has shared stages with artists like Ulrich Schnauss, Thorsten Quaeschning, and Erland Cooper in prestigious international settings. He also provided specialist installations for museums and galleries including one celebrating the Sagas in Iceland.
spooky jojo aka Jo Fraser – Born in the middle Iron Age, archaeologists estimate Jo has been influencing culture since at least the birth of the Buddha. After 2000 years of lying in wait for the world to be ready for his presence, Jo, in 2020, emerged from hibernation to crowds of thousands and quickly enrolled to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Only ever interested in the weird, the funky, and the fabulous; in Jo’s current reincarnation he plays theremin and musical saw. He continues to live and work as a performer/composer/model/actress/mattress in London until he is once again called into secrecy. Jo also has 7 plastic children and counting.
Elif Yalvaç UK-based Turkish artist Elif Yalvac launches her new solo work on 10 September in Heart of Noise 12. Her music has received international acclaim including reviews in The Guardian, and The Wire, alongside features on WDR and BBC among others. She has performed with a wide range of artists internationally including Eraldo Bernocchi, Colin Edwin, Jon Durant, and Darkroom.
