Do you love baking or driving and want to make a meaningful difference in your community? Come along to the Good Bitches Baking Information Session to learn how you can get involved!
The Matamata subchapter of our mighty Waikato chapter of Good Bitches is looking for volunteer bakers and drivers to help deliver homemade treats to organisations supporting people going through tough times.
Their recipients include support groups, homeless shelters, food banks, hospital wards, hospices, refuges, mental health support services, and many more.
The Waikato Good Bitches chapter covers Hamilton, established over 10 years ago and regional subchapters in Cambridge, Morrinsville, Matamata, Te Awamutu, and Raglan, which were developed two years ago.
The talk will take place at the Matamata Country Club Showhome located at 39/102 Peria Road, Matamata, at 1:00pm on Tuesday, 14th October 2025.
At the session, you’ll learn:
● How their baking network works
● What’s involved in baking or delivering
● How much time you’ll need (spoiler: not much!)
● The impact your kindness can have on the recipients
Why join?
● Flexible volunteering – bake or drive when it suits you
● Be part of a supportive, feel-good community
● Make a real difference with small acts of kindness
No experience needed – just a kind heart and a willingness to help those having a tough time in the local community!
