Info: Tristel’s presentation will look at choosing manual action and having confidence in your decontamination procedure. It will go through the process, steps involved and key considerations when it comes to your decontamination procedure. It will also touch upon which method is best practice when it comes to decontamination. LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 1. Define decontamination and its role in infection control.
2. Explain microbiocidal efficacy and why it matters.
3. Describe AMR and its impact.

This session explores what the Charter is, its purpose, principles, and expectations for behaviour. Why it matters, how civility, accountability, and inclusion directly impact safety and well-being. And how it can be embedded into daily theatre culture. We will discuss practical approaches to integrating the Charter, ensuring it becomes more than words on a wall, and applying it as a practical step towards building safer perioperative teams.
