Charles Hicks Challenge 2025 – Save the Date!
Planned for Sunday, 9th November

We're excited to announce that we're planning to host the Annual Charles Hicks Challenge on Sunday, 9th November 2025.

This popular 16–17 mile race takes place along our scenic clear-water canal, featuring portages to test your skills, followed by well-earned paddlers' food and an awards ceremony.

Please note: Due to ongoing canal maintenance and a drier-than-usual year, water levels are currently lower than ideal. Our regular paddlers are actively monitoring conditions, and we hope to confirm whether the event can go ahead soon.

Keep an eye out for updates and pencil the date in your diary with your fellow paddlers.
