The Tactical Medical for First Responders program is designed to establish a Medical Threat Assessment and develop a medical plan for tactical operations.
Participants will learn techniques to control life-threatening bleeding during Care under Fire in a HOT ZONE.
Additionally, they will practice methods for treating both life-threatening and non-life-threatening injuries during Tactical Field Care in a WARM ZONE. The program will also include demonstrations on lifting, moving, and extricating victims from tactical or hostile environments during Tactical Evacuation Care.
Prerequisites: Participants must have current CPR and Basic First Aid training. Certification will be issued only after proof of CPR and First Aid is provided, either prior to or within 30 days of class completion. We will offer CPR and First Aid training sessions before and after this class if needed.
Required Training Materials: Students are encouraged to wear clothing that can be stained (e.g., BDU pants, t-shirt, or similar attire) suitable for skill drills that involve being dragged or carried. If you have duty gear, it is recommended to bring it. Eye and ear protection are also required.
Drinks and snacks will be provided during the course.
This course is highly recommended for law enforcement personnel, firefighters, EMS, security professionals, emergency management personnel, first responders, and range operators.
