About the event

Marconi's Wave
A new musical written and directed by Chris Colt opens Thursday, October 2, at the newly renovated Calais Town Hall, 1662 Kent Hill Road, East Calasi, VT. Show runs for the first two weekends in October with 2pm matinees on Sundays.

A unique and entertaining look at the life and genius of Guglielmo Marconi who invented wireless telegraphy, which opened the door to the technology we enjoy today. Driven by science and drawn to Fascism and Mussolini, Marconi's title of Father of the Radio was later questioned in 1943 by the U.S. Supreme Court (six years after his death).

With a multitude of characters played by a small cast and a variety of engaging songs, this show is bound to please!

Cast: Silas Miller, Bob Hannah, Carrie Youngblood, Alfred Miles, Idalee Keller, Emily Milne, and Jim Thompson. Musical score and direction by Jim Thompson. Scenic projection by Rich Beatty. Joe Mueller on accordion and Jeff Wetmore on percussion.
