Cabot City Beautiful Organizing Litter Pickup Event
Volunteers Needed to Help “Keep Cabot Beautiful”
Cabot Clean-Up: Fall 2025 will be held on Saturday, October 4th, from 9:00a.m. until 12 noon. Volunteers are needed for Cabot’s annual litter-pickup campaign. Sponsored by Cabot City Beautiful (CCB), the cleanup is being held in conjunction with the Great Arkansas Cleanup, the annual spring statewide litter pickup campaign presented by Keep Arkansas Beautiful, a state affiliate of Keep America Beautiful Inc.
Everyone in the Cabot community is encouraged to participate in this year’s litter-pickup effort. Civic and service organizations, church and youth groups, school groups and clubs, scouts, individuals, families, neighborhoods, and businesses can put together a cleanup crew and pitch in.
Volunteers should meet at the Cabot School District’s “Administrative Building” Parking Lot (located at 602 North Lincoln Street). Participants should arrive at 9:00am on Saturday morning & check-in with event staff. Volunteers will be assigned routes, if they have not already designated their own area(s) of concern. Orange safety vests & garbage bags will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a sturdy pair of work-gloves with them & wear good walking shoes. At noon, volunteers are invited to meet back at Admin Building Parking Lot to enjoy some free snacks & drinks.
The main areas of concern, for the clean-up effort, will be the main thoroughfares into the city. “A great first impression is very important. We hope to facilitate the opportunity for our citizens to develop a sense of “Cabot Pride”, while at the same time welcoming guests & visitors to our community.” commented Matt Webber, CCB event coordinator. "Litter prevention is everyone’s responsibility. Although not everyone litters, we do all live in this community together and must work together to keep it clean & green. We do this out of community pride to maintain our outstanding quality of life & to improve our local economy.”
“This project will NOT include a Drive-Thru “Drop-Off” for Trash, Tires or Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) materials. We will be focusing strictly on LITTER PICK-UP ONLY. We will be concentrating on really cleaning up the trash along roadways in Cabot.” Webber stated.
Webber closed by saying: “A huge Thank-You to our community friends & we look forward to seeing you out & about on October 4th at Clean-Up Day!” If you should have any questions or need additional information, contact “Cabot Clean-Up” committee at (501) 920-2122 or
