Children's Basket Weaving Class: Halloween Edition

Join the Gourmet Weavers to make your very own tricker or treat basket! This class is for children 9 and older. This basket will be 5" x 8" x 10" and is woven on a box mold with shaker tape handles. This basket is a perfect tricker or treat basket. Make sure to dress up in your favorite Halloween costume. Each child will need one adult to assist with making their own basket. This class is $20 per child and is limited to 10 kids.

Barbara is a recently retired Overton County School teacher who has been weaving baskets for 40 plus years. She learned most of my weaving skills from Katherine Smith who used to live in Monroe. Often when she designed a new basket, Barbara would be her new pattern tester. This forced her to learn to read patterns and how to write her own patterns.
