Event Overview
MassDOT will host an in-person public meeting in Bourne to discuss the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the proposed replacement of the Cape Cod Bridges. This meeting is part of the public review and comment process required under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Purpose of the Meeting
The purpose of this public meeting is to support public review and comment on the DEIS for the replacement of the Bourne and Sagamore Bridges. MassDOT will present information about the DEIS, explain how the public can participate in the comment process, and outline the next steps. All views and comments submitted will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.
Project Proposal
The scope of work includes replacing both the Bourne and Sagamore Bridges, creating new and improved connections to the surrounding roadway network, and enhancing multimodal accommodations throughout the Cape Cod Canal area.
