Password at the door. Whispers in the hallway.
Step into the shadows and join us at the Banned Books Speakeasy, where the ink flows freer than bathtub gin and stories are contraband. Slip past the “authorities” and into a hidden world of forbidden words, dangerous ideas, and tales they tried to silence.
Where: Location undisclosed… until you’re in the know. No really it's at the Covellite Theatre.
When: After dark, when the censors sleep. Actually 5-7 on September 28th.
Dress Code: Flapper fringe, fedora swagger, or your best undercover attire
We’ll have:
Readings from the most scandalous banned books in history
Secret book swaps under the table
Jazz, mocktails, and a whiff of rebellion in the air
Because some stories deserve to be read… in whispers and in roars.
