We are so excited to invite our Butlerville family, friends, and neighbors to a Hog Roast at Lovey Bean Homestead featuring Chef Bear on the Grill.
As many of you know, we finally returned home to Jennings County, falling in love with this property and its century-old home. Our dream was always to homestead—to grow our own food and fill our freezers with Non-GMO, pasture-raised meat.
Recently, we received a complaint about our animals, which has led us to file for a zoning variance to continue our homesteading journey. Our variance hearing is scheduled for October 16th, and it would mean the world to us if our friends, family, and fellow supporters of the homesteading lifestyle could come out to show your support.

We’ll be serving up pulled pork sandwiches,coleslaw, and other snacks. This is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) event, and you’re welcome to bring a side dish to share if you’d like!
Bonus Festivities:
We’re planning some extra activities!Earlier in the day, while the hog is roasting, we'll be processing some poultry. If you’ve ever been curious about how to process chickens or ducks, feel free to stop by and see the process.
