Zero Waste Week

Instead of just celebrating international day of zero waste (30 March) we thought we could celebrate the whole week in the lead up to it. Join us at CREEC for a range of eco-friendly and nature-based activities-we have something for everyone.

Tuesday the 24th of March: Reduce landfill by upcycling materials- join us in the centre from 10am-12pm for eco-craft.

Wednesday the 25th of March: Join Upcycling legend Tegan from SendOn to learn how she takes retired climbing gear that would end up in landfill and turns it into incredible items for everyday use. Participants will make and take home a macrame bracelet made from inner rope core. Bookings essential. recommended for adults and children 12+. Thursday the 26th of March: It's time to roll up your sleeves and help protect our beautiful walking tracks. Join us for our ranger day where we head into the rainforest and do some Bushcare. We will have everything you need- wear sun safe clothes and enclosed shoes. Recommended for ages 6+.

Friday the 27th of March: Our waste education van will be on site to answer any of your questions and hand out prizes for that are game enough to try our bin challenges. Special visit by our favourite mascot GOGO. The centre will have craft and activities as well. A great day for all at CREEC.
