Happy New Year, Charlton Democrats!
On Friday, February 20th from 6pm to 7:30pm, we invite you to join us for a new kind of gathering—a hands-on crafting workshop focused on imagining the future of our community and the values we want to organize around together. This workshop is a pilot, and we’re excited to explore a more creative way of building connection and shared vision.
Using recycled and found materials, participants will create an object “from the future” that reflects a shared hope, goal, or vision, and then connect with others through brief reflection and conversation.
This workshop centers creativity as a civic practice. It’s an opportunity to think collectively, build relationships, and explore where our individual visions for the future overlap.
No prior art or crafting experience is needed, and all materials will be provided—just come with an open mind, ready to craft and connect.
The workshop fee is a $10 donation to Main Street Studio, which covers our use of the space.
We look forward to creating and imagining together!
