This is the route that was taken in the pioneer days to run cattle from Texas to Kansas City.

Chisholm Trail Byway (CTB) Itinerary
Friday Night – Optional Pre-Ride
For those wanting to head down early, I’ll be in Burnet on Friday night.
Any of the 330 tent sites at Inks Lake State Park are phenomenal.
The park is only 12 miles from the CTB start point.
Day 1 – Saturday
Start Location: Burnet High School, 1000 The Green Mile, Burnet, TX 78611
Drivers Meeting: 10:00 AM
Line Up: 10:20 AM
Departure: 10:30 AM (Apple iPhone time)

Mile 27.5 – Restroom Stop
7-Eleven, west side of US-281 (right-hand side leaving town)

Mile 74 – Lunch Stop

Duration: 1 hour
Mile 104 – Restroom + Supplies
Brookshire Brothers, Hamilton
Duration: 30 minutes
Mile 156 – End of Day
