SAVE THE DATE: 2nd annual "quilt turning" event Sunday, 10/5/25 from 2 pm - 4 pm at Schuyler Community Center, 218 W. Fremont St., Burlingame, Kansas.
What is a "quilt turning" event? A social event where a bed is covered with a stacked layer of quilts, and each quilt is "turned back" one by one, discussing the story behind the quilt.
We had a fantastic time at last year's inaugural event. We hope it will be even bigger this year.
But we need YOU (and your quilts) to make it so! Bring your antique, new, or new-to-you quilts for a non-competitive, laid-back afternoon of sharing the love of quilts!
A $10 admission fee applies to all attendees (whether you bring a quilt to present or just come to watch). This fee includes a raffle ticket for a door prize and a gift bag. All proceeds benefit the Burlingame Historical Preservation Society.
If you choose to bring quilts to show -- up to 3 per person -- please complete and return the registration form (found in the comments) by October 1 and have your quilt(s) to the Community Center by 12:30 pm on the day of the event.
