REGARDING: Invitation - Officers Confabulation
Royal Exploration Corps Expedition Headquarters requests all Officers’ and Distinguished Members’ presence at the CORPS forthcoming - Annual Confabulation and Peerage Soirée.
Said event to occur this September 7th, 1500hrs prompt, at the Broken Compass Tiki - 2013 W Burbank Blvd, Burbank, California 91506, North America.
Proper off duty dress (exempli gratia: fez, fedora, linen suit or flapper, cheongsam, and et cetera.) is expected with an exception granted for Corps members arriving directly from expedition who can, of course, maintain standard Adventurer’s wear and accoutrement.
Conversation topics regarding past, present, and future explorations are encouraged and anticipated to be of predominance. Furthermore, specific topics, such as the recent uncovered legend of a powerful gorilla (king?), additional joint explorations of areas adjacent to the Jungle Navigation Company’s Western Terminus, and the Corps Rowing Team's triumph over the S.E.A.'s crew, will be discourse of particular exuberance! Additionally, discussions held over the Broken Compass’s cuisine and libations add all the more delight.
Beyond confabulations, we may, if fortunate, be treated to tales of perilous adventures presented and recounted by current "Skippers".
Please dispatch, via Booby or radiotelegraphy, your répondez s'il vous plaît at your earliest possible convenience that we might alert our colleagues (and silent R.E.C. members) at the Broken Compass as they will be securing required accommodations for our number.
Lastly, as a reminder, do not neglect to synchronize your navigational instrumentation with current celestial alignments and calibrate altimeters with local airfields’ barometer.
