Florida 101 is an introduction to Florida designed for both new and seasoned residents to Flagler County and the surrounding area. We welcome anyone who is interested in learning about the ecology of Florida and how to best take advantage of our unique climate, flora, and fauna. Topics include Florida weather and ecosystems, identification of interesting native wildlife and potential pests, Florida agriculture, which kinds of plants will grow best in your Florida yard, and how to be a Florida-friendly resident. It also includes an ecology walk and tour of the historic lodge at Princess Place Preserve.
