Basic Machine Sewing

This workshop is a basic introduction to machine sewing and simple techniques. Participants can look forward to learning how to use a sewing machine, cut a simple pattern and construct simple items or gifts. Lessons would include basic sewing skills, discussions about different types of fabrics, hints and tips to make sewing enjoyable and lots of laughter. Items constructed will include a tissue holder, satin pillowcase, jewellery/pencil or glasses pouch, padded bowl holder and a simple summer dress with shirring.
