Taking his audience on a journey through vintage American popular music, Kerst’s style and performance presents a unique take on Jazz Standards, Motown and Pop. Growing up in Germany, music was ubiquitous for the young singer. His grandparents were his biggest inspiration, having earned a lifelong living on stage as operetta singers. With America always in his sight, Kerst moved to Florida in his early twenties to take his family’s legacy overseas. His newest project, the Black Tie Optional Show, is set to impress with a seven-piece band. For anyone searching for an escape to a golden era of music, this is the kind of show that ties it all together.
