Wright County Geeks presents GAME-A-THON!
"Minnesota's Best New Year's Day Tradition"
We present the 12th Annual New Year's Day all-day gaming and geeking-out extravaganza!
January 1st, 2026 from 10am to 9pm (Doors open at 9am)
The GAME-A-THON game catalog and schedule of events will be posted at the event, and game info will be posted here.
WHERE:
Buffalo Community Center
206 Central Avenue in downtown Buffalo, across from the Post Office.
PARKING:
Entrance to the rear parking lot is from the alley on 2nd Street NE and 3rd Street NE, as well as from 1st Ave NE right across from the school steps.
Doors open at 9:00am. From 10:00am until 9:00pm, we will be playing games, socializing, and watching your favorite science fiction and fantasy movies. What's not to love?
** Your cost of admission: NOTHING!
It is because of your generous donations that allow us to keep this family-friendly event FREE to the public. There will be a donation jar at the welcome desk.
Bring a friend, or two, or twelve.
Show up when you can, leave when you wish.
We'll have frequent door prizes, so you'll want to be around for that.
Feel free to bring your favorite games from home and teach it to someone new!
The public is welcome. This event is family-friendly. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Every attendee will receive a voucher for a free scoop of frozen custard at Buffalo Culvers!
There will be pizza and pop for sale at lunch time.

Got some down-time before your next scheduled game? Craving a quick two player game? The Game Library has you covered. We have a large library of games available all day long. Stop in and play a favorite or learn a new game.
GAME SWAP TABLE
Leave a game you no longer play, and pick up a new one to take home.
COMPUTER GAMES
Life got you frustrated? Has your New Year’s Resolution already failed? Need to nuke something to relieve some stress? Stop by and play some computer games. Open gaming all day on the Community Center’s computers and gaming consoles.
