A Cuban Dance Weekender in Buffalo, NY featuring Clara Nieto and Ethan Wagner with workshops, a dance social, and more!
WHAT:
Full weekend passes include:
- 10 hours of Cuban dance instruction (Sat & Sun) from Clara Nieto (Santiago, Cuba/Ithaca, NY) and Ethan Wagner (Brooklyn, NY), with beginners- and improvers/intermediate-level instruction (folks new to Cuban dance are always welcome)!
- a Saturday night Cuban-themed social w/ a 1hr intro dance lesson from special guests Renate Loveless Reed and Steve Reed from SALSAtlanta (Atlanta, GA), and
- a Sunday picnic at Niagara Falls State Park with food, dancing, and fun!!
WHERE:
There will be multiple locations for the weekend's events. The workshops will be held at UB's North Campus, in a professional studio there in their Alumni Arena. The Saturday social location is still TBD, but will be in the city somewhere. Sunday's picnic will be at Niagara Falls State Park, at the Schoellkopf Pavilion.
Since the workshops will be at UB North and prices are a little cheaper up that way (which is out of the city center), we recommend looking for HOTELS in the area near campus. Here's a Google map with lots of price options for the weekend:
