Ladies and gentlemen. It’s that time of year to start thinking about the 2026 WAB Spring Forge-In. This year, we will be forging in Buffalo, Wyoming at the Johnson County Fairgrounds (18 Fairgrounds Rd, Buffalo, WY 82834). We will meet Friday-Sunday, April 24th-26th, 2026 (itinarery coming soon). Mark your calendars.
We are proud to announce our instructor for the Forge-In will be Dave Osmundsen. Dave is a tireless advocate of blacksmithing in Wyoming and throughout the Northern Rockies Region. He is the owner of Arrowhead Forge in Buffalo and offers classes for smiths of all skill levels. At the 2026 Spring Forge-In, Dave will demonstrate a camp ax and throwing tomahawk.
The price of the forge-in will be $225 for all three days. Students are eligible for a discount. Smiths who participate in all three days can expect to walk home with a hand-made ax, tomahawk, and ax eye drift. Saturday evening, we will hold a small auction of materials, art pieces, and tools as well as host a dinner for participants. In addition to dinner, we will conduct our semi-annual WAB membership meeting. On Sunday, we will finish up projects and run a friendly competition tomahawk toss for prizes.
If you have any questions about the event from smithing to accommodations, please contact Sam at (307) 752-8399.
We are very excited to see you at this event.
