The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has released the long-anticipated Draft Generic Environmental Impact Study on the environmental and public health impacts of Cryptocurrency Mining, looking particularly at how these data center operations are sourcing energy as well as the acute impacts, like noise pollution.
