Begin your visit at the main entrance of Széchenyi Spa, where you’ll validate your ticket and receive access to your locker or private cabin. After storing your belongings, you’re free to explore the spa’s extensive facilities at your own pace.
What to expect
Széchenyi Spa is Europe’s largest medicinal bath and a centerpiece of Hungarian spa culture since its opening in 1913. Known for its elegant Neo-Baroque architecture and healing thermal waters, the spa offers a rejuvenating experience for both body and mind. Your ticket also includes a visit to the nearby Hungarian GastroCellar with a tasting session and cultural exhibition showcase, blending wellness and culture in a single, enriching day.

Thermal pools: Choose from 15 indoor and 3 outdoor pools, with water temperatures ranging from 18°C to 40°C, ideal for relaxation and wellness.
Saunas and steam baths: Access a variety of saunas and steam rooms, all included in your day ticket, for a complete spa experience.
GastroCellar tasting: Visit the Hungarian GastroCellar for a complimentary tasting—select either 1 shot of Pálinka or wine (non-alcoholic drink options are also available).
Cultural insights: Explore written displays about Hungarian traditions in the guest lounge, then step into a showroom styled as a traditional village, featuring folk costumes, carriages, and local artifacts—perfect for photos and learning about Hungary’s heritage.

Due to autumn maintenance, the outdoor thermal pool will be closed from September 22 to 28, 2025, and the outdoor adventure pool will be unavailable from September 29 to October 5, 2025.
You’ll need to leave the pools and surrounding areas 20 minutes before closing.
Last entry is allowed up to one hour before closing time.
Some pools and saunas may be temporarily closed for regular maintenance.
At the GastroCellar, adults can choose a non-alcoholic drink instead of Pálinka or wine, while children will automatically receive a soft drink.
Cancellation is allowed up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Variant-specific cancellation policies may apply.
