Learn how to knit Socks workshop with lunch at The Royal Oak, Cullen
Have you ever wanted to be able to knit your own socks but don’t know where to start? Then this is the workshop for you! Suitable for those with basic knitting experience- if you can cast on and off knit and purl then that’s all you need!
In this one day workshop I will walk you through all the elements of sock knitting from working in the round to turning a heel and grafting a toe. We will apply all these techniques by making a mini sock or doubles up as a Christmas stocking! You will go away feeling confident to cast on your first pair of socks!
The workshop includes all materials.
Sunday 31st August from 10-3:30pm
What will you learn:
- How to knit in the round on double pointed needles.
- How to select the correct materials for future project
- How to knit the cuff and make cuff variations, shape the heel and turning it, how to graft the toe and finishing off.
Investment: £70 includes all materials and a soup and a sandwich lunch.
* A soup and sandwich lunch is included in the workshop if you’d like to purchase any drinks or cakes please pay this directly on the day up at the bar. Please refrain from bringing your own food and drink into the venue.
*Please note workshops are subject to run according to a certain number of bookings if these bookings are not met then the workshops will be cancelled on a 5 day notice. You will either get to transfer onto a new date or a refund will be given however no refunds can be given if you cancel less than 7 days before.
* Adverse weather notice - due to the nature of adverse weather like snow or flooding with this situation being out of my control I cannot offer refunds if you or I need to cancel due to weather. I can only transfer your place onto a future date. If I need to cancel due to weather then I will of course reschedule the event and allow you a place on another available workshop or have credit in my web shop. Thank you for your understanding.
