Well, put down the inflatable swan and pick up a hard hat. The 2026 Spring CERT Basic Training Course is officially open for enrollment!
Course Kickoff: Thursday, April 2nd, 2026
Registration Deadline: Friday, March 13th, 2026 (Yes, Friday the 13th. If that isn't a sign to prepare for the unexpected, we don't know what is.)
The Commitment: A few weeks of your time in exchange for a lifetime of knowing how to not accidentally make a disaster worse.

This is a FREE 20-hour course where participants will learn how to help their families, friends, and neighbors by utilizing learned preparedness skills such as Disaster Preparedness, Fire Suppression, Terrorism Response, Medical Aid and Triage, Search and Rescue Techniques, Disaster Psychology, and Team Organization and Response. This course will culminate with a mock disaster scenario where students will be able to test what they have learned. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a FREE preparedness backpack and contents valued at over $200.00! Pre-registration is required. Follow the link above.
