In preparation for the expansion and renovation of the library, The Marianna Black Library, in Bryson City, will be closed on Tuesday, September 16 through Thursday, September 18, and will reopen on Friday, September 19th.
Beginning on Friday, September 19th, library patrons are encouraged to use the parking area and enter the library on Fryemont Street (currently the back of the library), as the first phase of construction will be in front of the library on Academy and Rector Streets.
During this period of construction, scheduled to last 9 months, library services will be limited, but patrons will still be able to browse and check-out books; use our public computers, printer and Wifi; and enjoy limited programming for children and adults. We will be doing everything we can to help our patrons find the information they need, but we ask for your patience during this period of growth for your public library.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the library at 828-488-3030.
