Projet mené par le frère et la sœur Matthew et Eleanor Friedberger, The Fiery Furnaces s’est imposé dès les années 2000 comme un ovni de la scène indie américaine, avec un mélange imprévisible de rock avant-gardiste et de pop arty. Après une longue pause entamée en 2011, le duo a signé son retour en 2020 avec le single Down at the So and So on Somewhere, renouant avec ses compositions labyrinthiques et son goût du collage sonore. Le groupe se reforme aujourd'hui pour 5 concerts exclusifs, dont un a Botanique, dans notre Rotonde.

The Fiery Furnaces, een project geleid door broer en zus Matthew en Eleanor Friedberger, vestigde zich in de jaren 2000 als een UFO in de Amerikaanse indie scene, met een onvoorspelbare mix van avant-gardistische rock en kunstzinnige pop.

Na een lange pauze in 2011 maakte het duo in 2020 een comeback met de single ‘Down at the So and So on Somewhere’, waarbij ze terugkeerden naar hun labyrintische composities en smaak voor sonische collage. De band is nu weer bij elkaar voor vijf exclusieve concerten, waaronder een in onze Rotonde.
