Samm Henshaw est un chanteur, compositeur et producteur britannique qui a su imposer sa marque dans la nouvelle génération de la soul. Né à Londres de parents nigérians, il mêle avec talent gospel, R&B, hip-hop et pop, construisant un univers où l’émotion, la sincérité et l’énergie sont toujours au premier plan. Dès ses débuts remarqués en 2015 avec Only Wanna Be With You, il attire l’attention des plus grands et multiplie les collaborations, de Chance The Rapper à James Bay, en passant par EarthGang.
Avec des titres puissants comme Church, Grow ou Still Broke, Samm a cumulé des centaines de millions de streams et s’est affirmé comme une voix singulière de la scène internationale. Mais c’est surtout sur scène qu’il déploie toute sa force : entre ferveur gospel, groove contagieux et proximité avec son public, chaque concert devient une expérience mémorable.

Tussen soul, r&b en funk herinterpreteert Samm Henshaw de codes van het genre met een aanstekelijke energie en een ontwapenende oprechtheid. Als songwriter, componist, producer en multi-instrumentalist, geboren in Londen uit Nigeriaanse ouders, weeft hij liedjes waarin vreugde, kwetsbaarheid en groove met een zeldzaam gemak met elkaar verweven zijn.
Na ‘Untidy Soul’ uit 2022, geprezen door The Guardian, NME en NPR, keert hij terug met ‘It Could Be Worse’, een meer introspectief tweede album, opgenomen in Londen en Los Angeles. Gedragen door nummers als ‘Float’, ‘Get Back’ en ‘Tangerine’, verkent het album de wederopbouw na verdriet, waarbij live-instrumentatie, humor en hoop worden gecombineerd. Op het podium profileert Samm Henshaw zich als een van de meest bijzondere en innemende stemmen van de hedendaagse soul.
