Pompeii, le sixième album acclamé de Cate Le Bon, confirme la place singulière de cette multi-instrumentiste, compositrice et productrice recherchée (Wilco, Devendra Banhart, John Grant, H. Hawkline, Deerhunter, Courtney Barnett, Kurt Vile). Suspendu hors du temps, cet opus mêle pop indie, art rock et psychédélisme, avec une approche souvent dadaïste et satirique, jouant avec ironie et surréalisme. Successeur de Reward (2019), nominé aux Mercury Prize, Pompeii convoque l’apocalypse, sans jamais céder à la gravité, préférant une lecture métaphorique et décalée de l’actualité. Comme le souligne Bradford Cox, Cate Le Bon est l’une de ces rares artistes qui transcendent les regards tournés vers l’intérieur ou l’extérieur. Elle revient aujourd’hui à Botanique pour partager cette poésie à la fois précise et énigmatique.

De veelzijdigheid Cate Le Bon hoor je terug in haar zes albums, waaronder het veelgeprezen album 'Pompeii' (2022), en wordt extra onderstreept door haar productiewerk voor artiesten als Wilco en St. Vincent.
Dit jaar brengt ze haar zevende album 'Michelangelo Dying' uit. De plaat is het resultaat van diep liefdesverdriet. Het album is als een foto van een wond vlak voordat die geneest, maar tegelijk krabt het ook nog open.
