Originaire de Lisbonne, Capitão Fausto est l’un des groupes les plus importants de sa génération au Portugal, salué pour la qualité de son écriture, son identité singulière et la puissance émotionnelle de ses concerts.
Leur première tournée européenne en 2025 a marqué un véritable tournant international pour le groupe. À Paris, le concert au Point Éphémère s’est joué à guichets fermés, confirmant une connexion forte avec le public français. Des salles complètes à Londres et Amsterdam, ainsi qu’une très belle réponse en Espagne, ont consolidé cette dynamique au-delà des frontières et de la langue.
Ce retour intervient à un moment charnière de leur parcours. En janvier 2026, le groupe se produira en tête d’affiche au MEO Arena de Lisbonne, la plus grande salle du Portugal, pour le plus grand concert de sa carrière. Portés par cet élan, ils reprennent ensuite la route européenne avec une confiance et une maturité nouvelles.
En parallèle de leur répertoire déjà établi, de nouvelles chansons sont attendues courant 2026, offrant au public un aperçu du prochain chapitre artistique de Capitão Fausto.
Cofondateurs du label et collectif artistique Cuca Monga, Capitão Fausto occupent une place centrale dans la scène indépendante portugaise et s’affirment désormais comme un groupe live européen à fort potentiel, à la fois sensible, intense et profondément actuel.

Capitão Fausto uit Lissabon is een van de belangrijkste bands van zijn generatie uit Portugal, geprezen om de kwaliteit van hun songteksten, hun unieke identiteit en de emotionele krachten van hun concerten. Hun eerste Europese tour in 2025 betekende een echte internationale doorbraak voor de band. Met uitverkochte zalen in Londen, Amsterdam en Parijs en een zeer positieve reactie in Spanje versterkte deze dynamiek over de grenzen en talen heen.
Naast hun gevestigde repertoire worden in de loop van 2026, naast een nieuwe Europese tournee, nieuwe nummers verwacht, die het publiek een voorproefje geven van het volgende artistieke hoofdstuk van de band. Als medeoprichters van het label en artistieke collectief Cuca Monga neemt Capitão Fausto een centrale plaats in binnen de Portugese indiescene en profileert het zich nu als een Europese liveband met enorm potentieel, die zowel gevoelig, intens als zeer actueel is.
