Née dans le Yorkshire, Billie Marten a grandi au cœur de la campagne anglaise, une source d’inspiration constante pour sa musique folk minimaliste et intimiste. En 2021, l'auteure-compositrice et interprète britannique marque un tournant avec Flora Fauna, un troisième opus que NME décrit comme une œuvre mature, vibrante et impressionnante de maturité pour une artiste de son âge. Avec Drop Cherries (2023), son dernier né, Billie Marten confirme sa place d'artiste incontournable de la scène indie contemporaine.

Billie Marten werd geboren in Yorkshire en groeide op in het hart van het Engelse platteland, een constante inspiratiebron voor haar minimalistische, intieme folkmuziek. In 2021 markeerde de Britse singer-songwriter een keerpunt met ‘Flora Fauna’, een derde opus die NME omschreef als volwassen, levendig en indrukwekkend volwassen voor een artiest van haar leeftijd.

Met ‘Drop Cherries’, haar recentste release uit 2023, bevestigt Billie Marten haar plaats als een van de belangrijkste artiesten in de hedendaagse indiescene.
