After a standout first edition, Abrupt returns to Brussels this October, sharper, more focused, and more connected to the tensions shaping sound and culture than ever.
From 8 to 12 October, Abrupt unfolds across a series of distinctive venues in Brussels. The festival presents a curated selection of live performances, club nights, talks, and gatherings, each one tuned to the shifting frequencies of a hyperdiverse musical landscape.
Organised by the non-profit behind Reset, the temporary brutalist cultural space in central Brussels, Abrupt reflects the organisation’s broader commitment to independent artistic creation.

This year, Abrupt takes over the intimate warmth of Reset Atelier, transforming it into the festival’s Headquarters from October 9–11.
For three days, the space will host talks, workshops, scenography showcases, and DJ sets that explore the intersections of music, culture, and community.
From talks with artists and collectives, to deep dives into journalism, identity, and tradition, each session blends reflection with celebration. Evenings unfold into listening sessions, a micro-party, and performances that honor diversity and artistic experimentation. With food, drinks, and an adapted scenography by Alter, Abrupt HQ becomes a place to gather, learn, listen or even dance: an essential prelude to the wider Abrupt Festival 2025.
