Varuru Mbira Trio presents the timeless sounds of Southern Africa through soulful, hypnotic mbira music rooted in Zimbabwean and South African traditions. Led by legendary cultural custodian and master storyteller Valanga Khoza, the trio is joined by the rich vocals and shimmering mbira work of Joyful Rufaro Muradzi and Ruvimbo Dhliwayo. Centred on the ancient mbira, an instrument revered for its meditative and spiritual power. Their music weaves rhythm, harmony and song into an intimate/uplifting experience of deep cultural connection.
