Roll up your sleeves and help us care for the Collie River!
Join the Leschenault Catchment Council for a busy bee focused on rubbish clean-up and tree guard maintenance at Soldiers Park in Collie as part of Clean Up Australia’s Spring Clean-Up Day.
This is a family-friendly, hands-on event aimed at improving the health of our local river environment. Whether you’re a regular volunteer or first-time attendee, we welcome everyone to get involved!
What we’ll be doing:
- Litter collection along the river and surrounds
- Tree guard installation and maintenance
Morning tea provided for all helpers
What to bring: Enclosed shoes, long pants, long-sleeve shirt, weather-appropriate gear (hat/raincoat), water bottle, and gloves if you have them.
This event is part of the Community Caring for the Collie River project, supported by State NRM, South32 Worsley Alumina through the Shire of Collie, and Premier Coal, with additional support from Friends of the Collie River.
