Come celebrate Julian's first year of freedom (and his 54th birthday: 3rd July) after a long and grueling campaign for truth and freedom.
We thank Julian for his integrity as a revolutionary journalist and publisher. His incredible work creating WikiLeaks, the international library of the 21st century, has made a truly remarkable impact on history.
We also thank Julian for wearing that heart wrenching T-shirt at the Cannes film festival in France. That T-shirt bears the names of over 4000 Palestinian children under the age of 5, murdered by the israeli occupation. On the back of Julian's shirt is a sign saying STOP israel.
We are grateful to Bar Oussou for allowing us to use their venue for these special events many times over the years. And we look forward to many more as we transform our name and continue to strive for world peace through seeking truth & justice.
We at Melbourne4Assange endeavour to carry Julian and his father John's message as we close down a successful campaign and evolve.
We wish Julian well in this next phase of his life.
