Rudy Burckhardt’s New York Films: A Screening and Discussion

Join us for a screening of four films by Rudy Burckhardt that reflect his work in and of New York City: "Under the Brooklyn Bridge" (1953), "Eastside Summer" (1959), "Square Times" (1967), and "Default Averted" (1975). The film program will last approximately one hour and will be followed by a discussion and Q&A with artist Tom Burckhardt. This event is presented in conjunction with the exhibition "Rudy Burckhardt: Three Maine Films," on view at the Bowdoin College Museum of Art through November 9, 2025.

This event will take place in Beam Classroom in the Visual Arts Center on the Bowdoin College campus. Free and open to the public; no registration required. Presented by the Bowdoin College Museum of Art.
