Iron Melt Fundraiser at Andres Institute of Art

Purchase a mold in advance, carve at home, return the mold before the iron pour. On Saturday the 25th, at approximately noontime (molten iron can be finicky) iron will be poured into the molds. Once they are cooled and the rough edges removed, you can bring home an iron cast of the mold you carved. You can wait for the finishing, or return to the Welcome Center Wednesday or later to pick up your iron works of art!

Molds must be returned to the Welcome Center no later than 10 am on Saturday, earlier in the week is helpful for us to prepare and stage the molds.

Purchase molds in advance online (see below) and show the confirmation email printed or on your phone to pick up either from The Welcome Center or from Brookline's Finest (usually open daily 8 am to 5 pm). The Welcome Center will be open Wednesday and Thursday 11am - 4pm if you want to purchase on site, cash/check/charge.
