Assemblage Jewelry Workshop (2 part session)

Time: 4:00pm - 6:30pm

This two-part class will cover everything you need to know to create your own wearable art. Think of these necklaces as wearable assemblage sculpture. Let your preconceived ideas of JEWELRY fall away when selecting your components. You will go home with a finished necklace at the end of each class.

Class one will cover the basic tools needed, the types of clasps, different ways to finish ends, different stringing materials available and how to knot between beads when assembling a piece that requires strength, fluidity and light to reflect off the beads.

Class two will cover basic wire wrapping skills, making your own charms using wire and soft solder, how to drill shells, stones and wood to create your own elements. You will then create your own one of a kind piece that is uniquely you.
