Annual Bioethics Lecture

Dr. Ho’s presentation will explore ethical issues raised by generative AI mental health chatbots. A relational lens highlights interprofessional relationships and social determinants of care in the evolving technological landscape. Despite aiming to simulate empathy and support, chatbots face biases, cultural inequities, and inherent limits, falling short of therapeutic duties essential to mental health care.
