Join our very talented and passionate quilting instructor Lucy of Lux Quilting to create a Memory Quilt from fabrics that mean something to you such as baby/toddler clothes or clothes from a loved one.
This course will be run in 6 parts starting Thursday 18th September at 6:30pm with homework to complete between sessions. The sessions are 1.5 hours long.
Week 1 - Thurs 18th Sept - General Induction - bring your fabrics. We will talk about suitability of fabrics, cutting and stabilisers.
Week 2 - Thurs 25th Sept - Piecing together, columns and rows. .
Week 3 - Thurs 2nd Oct - Making Top of Patchwork.
Week 4 - Thurs 9th Oct - Quilting the 3 layers together.
Week 5 - Thurs 16th Oct - Binding
Week 6 - Finishing off - We will break for half term
You will need to provide your own fabrics and purchase stabiliser which is required for the quilt. You will be able to purchase this stabiliser from the instructor or you can purchase independently.
