Founded in 2006, the Kammerphilharmonie Europa is an independent orchestra with a focus on classical music that brings together committed musicians with the aim of forming an artistically demanding ensemble even without a permanent sponsorship.
Based just outside Cologne, we now employ over 60 talented professional musicians from currently 18 nations.
They all look back on a sound education and a wide range of stage experience on an international level. The central drive of their work is the claim to unite independently, especially with regard to the selection of repertoire and soloists.
True to its name, the Kammerphilharmonie Europa has always built on a wide range of origins and experience.
In order to pay attention to the promotion of young talent, we give young hopefuls the opportunity to develop further in our voice groups.
Conversely, we also work successfully without the age limit of 35-40 years that is common for European orchestras, because in our eyes artists can come up with an immense versatility and experience, especially from this age.
Through this mixture, we succeed in ensuring a cross-generational, creative working atmosphere, from which the cast of the Kammerphilharmonie Europa can always draw great motivation.
