Pre-Season Walk: Iron Curtain

Stroll into the past, along almost forgotten borders between Austria and Czech Republic remain some milestones of the iron curtain.

We will meet at the main bus station at 8:40 At 8:55, we will take the bus to Znojmo and change there at 10:00 into the Bus to Horni Břečkov(Cizov) to start the 16 km walk.We will have a break for a coffee in Hardegg and continue along the border to Vranov nad Dyji. We can spend the rest of the afternoon to wander around and admire the local castle or take an early bus connection back to Znojmo and then back to Brno. The later buses leave around 6pm bring us back to Brno at 8pm.

Important:
-Take your passport with you, as the Austrian border police might get you.😉
-Please also have enough cash with you to pay the bus driver for a full zone ticket (78CZK twice)
-Bringing some Euros would be handy for the coffee break.
The best option is to buy an all-day ticket for all zones, which could be used for two persons. This kind of ticket costs 150 czk (190czk including zones 100+101), and could be bought only in main train station counters.
