On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the death of Antonio Salieri
Venue: Dietrichstein Palace, Zelný trh 8, Brno
Admission: Free
The Moravian Museum, in cooperation with the National Heritage Institute, invites international visitors to guided tours of the Maestro Salieri exhibition. The event commemorates the exceptional figure of Antonio Salieri – composer, conductor, teacher, and long-standing Kapellmeister of the Viennese Imperial Court.
For the first time, visitors will see a unique collection of documents related to Salieri’s life and work, including the original manuscript of his Requiem, which he composed for himself and later dedicated to his friend, Count Haugwitz of Náměšť nad Oslavou.
Exploring the rich music archive of Náměšť nad Oslavou reveals lesser-known yet captivating details of Salieri’s personal and professional life. The exhibition also sheds light on the true nature of Salieri’s relationship with W. A. Mozart.
Come and enjoy the exhibition accompanied by a soundtrack featuring excerpts from Salieri's works.
