Introduction to Bastl Instruments Kastle 2 programming.
We’ll go through the process of installing the toolchain and we’ll create a basic audio synthesizer and a basic effect. The course will be in C++.

Recommended:
- knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language
- basic knowledge of terminal
- own laptop, ideally running Linux or MacOS; when using Windows it’s good to have WSL or a Linux virtual machine ready
- text editor or IDE you are familiar with (VS Code, vim…)
- USB-C cable to power the Kastle 2
- headphones with 3,5mm jack
Not required but bring if you have.
- debug probe (Raspberry Pi Debug Probe, J-Link) or
- spare Raspberry Pi Pico to make a debug probe
Event will take place on 21.3.2026 at 11:00 in Base48, which is hackerspace based in Brno (place info: base48.cz) and will be lead by creator of Kastle2 - Václav Mach.
Katle2 DIY kits will be sold during this event with friendly discount.
Event will be closed by synth concert: Krabs and Václav Mach will play, more TBA
