JFB 2025: Marcus Miller

Jedna z hlavních hvězd podzimní části JazzFestBrno patří od osmdesátých lete mezi nejvýznamnější nejen jazzové instrumentalisty, producenty a skladatele. Do péče se mu svěřily i takové osobnosti jako trumpetista Miles Davis nebo zpěvák Luther Vandross.

Marcus Miller je jedním z těch muzikantů, kterým byl hudební talent dán do vínku a rozvíjen už od dětství v hudebně založené rodině. Vystudoval klasickou hru na klarinet, v průběhu života ovládl i klávesové nástroje, saxofon, kytaru, a samozřejmě svůj instrument číslo jedna: baskytaru.
