Work party - 6th September at Conham

Saturday 6th September - work party starting at 10 am at Conham River Park.

With the last of the heatwaves finally gone and summer holidays almost over it’s particularly important to get the area ready for the months ahead when we may not be able to get out so readily.

Ideally it'll be a good time to clear the tarmac paths of vegetation along the edges, ensure trails and paths are navigable and remove any litter before the damp and darker days set in.

The Himalayan Balsam has mostly died back but we do need to be aware of - and report any new growths of Japanese Knotweed in our area as it's an ideal time to get it removed by the licensed operators.

News to hear regarding upcoming projects and the date for the AGM will also be detailed.

The overflow car park will be opened to allow parking for us and to keep spaces free for other visitors to the Park.

Don’t forget to bring containers for any sloes or apples that may still be available.
