Winter Fruit tree pruning and Orchard maintenance

Join the Forest of Avon in this community orchard for a day of Winter fruit tree pruning and orchard care.

Janine from the Forest of Avon , will deliver training in winter fruit tree pruning in the orchard in Begbrook Green open space.

Attendees will be taught the key principles in fruit tree pruning, and practical techniques in how to affectively prune apple and pear trees.

The day will consist of the training session in the morning and then an afternoon of practicing the techniques learnt under the supervision of Janine. All Health and Safety provison will be covered in safety briefing at the start of the session.

No skills or expertise required, all training, tools and PPE are provided. Please bring sturdy footwear and clothes you don't mind getting muddy, a packed lunch and plenty of water.

Activities not suitble for under 16's

Unfortunately there are no toilet facilities.

There is no car park at the park but on street parking is avaliable close by on five Acre Drive

Unfortunately there are no toilet facilities on site
