The 28th Annual Wildlife Weekend, sponsored by the Bristol Tennessee Department of Parks & Recreation and Friends of Steele Creek Nature Center and Park, will be held on October 10th and 11th.
“The World of Bees” is the theme for this year’s two-day event, which begins on Friday, Oct. 10, at 6:30 p.m. with a reception and a keynote address from Darrell Moore. The evening wraps up with the presentation of awards in the 2025 Wildlife Weekend Amateur Photography Contest.
The celebration continues the next day, Saturday, Oct. 11, with hikes, walks, interactive kiosks, crafts, a scavenger hunt, and educational presentations throughout the day. Start your morning with hikes starting at 9 a.m. and stay for a day of family fun, featuring educational kiosks, crafts, walks, and informative gardening mini-sessions from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
